About 90 children from Brook and Mottistone enjoyed an out of doors treat on Tuesday 30th August, in the beautiful gardens of Brooke House.  The first part of the entertainment consisted of a sumptuous tea provided by the kindness of Miss Seely in Hulverstone School after which a march down to the park was followed by a long series of various sports.  A special exhibition of the phonograph with songs and recitations caused much wonder and delight and a plentiful distribution of toys and buns completed the happiness of the young people.
