Crushed by infuriated bull - May 21st 1898

On Tuesday morning Charles Cleal employed at Brook Farm whilst attending to the cattle was crushed against the stable wall by a bull which became infuriated when being moved from one stable to another, and the unfortunate man sustained the fracture of two ribs. First aid was skillfully rendered by chief coastguard T Hennings, superintendent and secretary of the Brook division of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Association, until medical assistance arrived.
